Ellen has a keen interest in crime research and recently completed her Masters in Global Crime and Justice at the University of York. For her dissertation Ellen analysed media reporting of the Grenfell Tower fire. Previously Ellen has worked in the not-for-profit sector as an administrative assistant for the Hackney Foodbank. 

In her free time Ellen enjoys reading, hiking, and helping at her local homeless shelter.
