Welcoming Joe Caluori, new Head of Policy

Thursday 26 March 2020

Last month we welcomed Joe Caluori as our new Head of Policy. Joe brings a wealth of experience in research and policy to Crest, specialising in child criminal exploitation, county lines drug networks, serious youth violence and drugs policy.

As the former Cabinet Member with responsibility for youth crime at the London Borough of Islington and as a contributor to the Department for Education's Tackling Child Exploitation Programme, Joe has unparalleled insight into county lines drugs networks and serious youth violence.

Joe, who has joined us at an unprecedented time for crime and justice, will be leading on our think tank research. His current projects include Crest’s research into county lines funded by the Hadley Trust, and our research into extremism funded by the Dawes Trust.

Joe says:

“Crest has built a reputation for expertise and excellence, producing high quality work which has a tangible influence on decision makers. I’m absolutely delighted to join the team and to have the opportunity to lead research projects on some of the most challenging areas of crime and justice.”
