We are delighted to announce that award-winning journalist and broadcaster Danny Shaw is joining Crest as Head of Strategy and Insight.
Danny, a BBC home affairs correspondent for nearly two decades, will bring his experience of scrutinising the criminal justice system to Crest from next month as we expand our work on performance and legitimacy with UK police forces.
In his new role, Danny will lead research projects, provide communications advice and training, and support Crest’s expanding consultancy practice with chief constables, elected Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs), Metro Mayors and other leaders in the justice system.
“I’m delighted to be joining the Crest team at such a pivotal moment for policing and other criminal justice agencies, as they respond to the challenges and opportunities presented by Covid-19. I have followed Crest’s work with interest over the last few years and am excited by the opportunity to help them develop their research, consultancy and communications across the sector. After many years reporting on the big crime and justice issues, I am looking forward to the new challenge of helping to address them directly.”
Harvey Redgrave, Chief Executive, said:
“We’re really pleased that Danny has chosen to join Crest and that he will be able to bring his experience to bear on the big issues affecting our clients. Danny’s knowledge and reputation are second to none across policing and justice and we are excited about the insight and expertise he will bring to our work on policing, the courts, probation and the wider criminal justice system.”
Welcome to the team, Danny!
