A mini film ‘Crestival’ in aid of Rape Crisis

Wednesday 22 November 2017

Shocked by the revelations of sexual violence from people in the public eye in recent weeks, we are doing our bit to help support brave victims who come forwards.

Between now and the end of the year Team Crest are hoping to raise funds for Rape Crisis by watching as many feminist films with strong female roles and messages as possible. In two film nights in the next ten days (which we’re calling our own mini-Crestival) we’ll be taking over the office meeting room to watch Hidden Figures and Erin Brockovich. Other team members will bring friends and family members together for their own feminist film nights. For each film we watch, each person will donate a minimum of £5 to Rape Crisis.

Rape Crisis oversees crisis centres across England and Wales to achieve a world free of sexual violence. They provide a range of specialist services for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any form of sexual violence – as adults or as children.

Crest work with agencies (public, private and voluntary) across the criminal justice sector including victims’ organisations and agencies across the criminal justice sector trying to bring perpetrators to justice.
