Fryni is part of the Strategy & Insight team at Crest, working on a variety of quantitative and qualitative research projects. Before joining, she worked in the Serious Violence Analysis team in the Home Office, where she conducted rapid evidence reviews and quantitative analysis of serious violence trends, supporting policy and ministerial briefings.
Fryni has a strong academic background in criminology. In June 2021, Fryni completed her PhD at Cardiff University. Her thesis, a collaborative research project with the Security Industry Authority (SIA), explores the regulation of private security in the UK and its challenges in contemporary society, with a specific focus on the door supervision sector (commonly known as ‘bouncers’). Prior to this, she completed an MSc in Crime Science at UCL, an MSc in Criminal Justice Policy at LSE and an LLB in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece).
